Hanford Reach National Monument, an untouched stretch of land and waterways administered by the U.S. The Tri-Cities area also has an interesting past as the metropolitan area closest to the infamous Hanford site where nuclear bombs were manufactured. This image is idyllic, and there are certainly plenty of opportunities to explore Washington's natural landscape at locations like the McNary National Wildlife Refuge, the Juniper Dunes Wilderness Area, and Lake Wallula. The three cities Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland are located at the confluence of three rivers - Yakima, Columbia, and Snake. When you fly to Tri-Cties Airport (PSC) you ll be 2 miles north of nearby Pasco, in the south-eastern portion of the state.
